The Marcura Group Board and ClaimsHub management team are located globally to serve our customers. Many of them with a background in maritime and shipping, the team has deep expertise in laytime, customer service, process management, IT, solutions development, integration, finance, management, business strategy, and innovation.

Group Board

Jens Lorens Poulsen

Chair of the Board

Jens is co-founder of Marcura and Chair of the Board.

Previously, Jens was Group CEO for over 10 years, focusing on the market, business models and service strategies of the portfolio companies.

Prior to that, Jens was a Senior Partner at Cultivator A/S, then one of Scandinavia’s leading Management Consultancies, where he provided management counsel to engineering, software and pharmaceutical companies.

Earlier, he was involved in the initial launch of Cisco Systems, Inc. in all Scandinavian countries and was Financial Director at UNIRAS A/S, a pioneering scientific visualisation software company with global customers. He has held a position as VP Finance for the Treasury of Hafnia, a major Scandinavian insurance group. He started his career with Andersen Consulting, now Accenture.

Henrik Hyldahn

Group CEO

Henrik is the Group CEO of Marcura and brings over 20 years of leadership experience in driving financial and personal growth through innovative technology solutions.

Previously, Henrik was the CEO of ShipServ, the world’s leading e-procurement platform for ship owners/managers, shipyards, and more than 73,000 marine industry suppliers.

Henrik has become best known for his innovative approach to solving complex industry challenges by developing simple, secure, sustainable solutions.

He has a strong track record of building and leading multicultural teams to ensure scalable value delivery through efficient use of technology and unleashing employee potential through mentorship while ensuring a wider purpose and growth plan for the entire team.

Christian Siemers Haunso

Founder

Christian is the founder of Marcura and Board member.

Previously, Christian worked in the Structured Commodity Finance Division at ING Barings in Amsterdam and Moscow, with the focus on the metals and shipping industries.

Prior to that he worked at a shipbroking and trading house in Hamburg where his duties covered operations, chartering and grain trading.

Earlier he worked in the shipping liner trade for Überseeschiffahrtsagentur Transnautic in Hamburg.

Christian holds a Masters in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School.

Jan-Olivier Fillols

Board Director of Marcura and Managing Director of Marlin Equity Partners

Jan-Olivier’s primary responsibilities at Marlin include deal qualification, conducting due diligence, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring.

Prior to joining Marlin, he worked at 3i Group where he focused on private equity investments across a broad range of sectors and geographies.

He worked as an investment banker at Jefferies where he specialised in mergers and acquisitions and public market transactions.

Before his career in finance, Jan-Olivier held software development positions at diagnostics company Roche and telecoms provider Ascom. He earned an M.Sc. in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and an M.Sc. in Communication Systems from the Swiss Institute of Technology (EPFL).

Bruno Deszczynski

CEO – ClaimsHub and PortLog

Bruno joined Marcura Group in 2011 and brings over 20 years of experience in technology, logistics and maritime sectors.

His roles included Software Engineer, Principal Consultant, Chief Technology Officer. He has led projects for customers like: BP, Cargill, PTC, VW, Mercedes.

Bruno has a PhD in Computer Science in Power Engineering, focusing on optimisation algorithms.

Nigel Harkness

Nigel Harkness

Director

Nigel is a seasoned operational manager with a strong expertise in laytime services.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in managing laytime operations effectively.

Throughout his career, Nigel has demonstrated an innate ability to streamline processes, optimise resources, and ensure seamless execution of laytime services.

He has a proven track record of successfully managing diverse teams, fostering a collaborative work environment, and delivering outstanding results.

Furthermore, Nigel is Marcura’s representative on LEAP Energy focused on the Seagoing Demurrage group.

Nigel holds an MBA and continues to pursue professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of the industry.

Vivian Boukla

VP Customer Success

Vivian brings extensive experience across various business functions including supply chain, procurement and finance.

Her strong leadership skills and ability to drive organisational success, and her dual role as PMO of Strategic Execution, bring her in close collaboration with the Executive Committee.

Before joining Marcura and during her tenure at Emirates, Vivian was involved in large-scale supply chain digitalisation projects, gaining valuable exposure to the complexities of managing and optimising supply chain operations in a global context.

Vivian has a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Regional Analysis, and is currently completing her MBA in Shipping & Logistics, further enhancing her expertise in managing complex logistics operations.

Kenneth Hviid Laursen

SVP, Operations

Kenneth is based in Dubai and oversees the daily and strategic development of ClaimsHub’s operations.

Kenneth started in the shipping industry in 2006 and has worked for various shipowners in the dry, breakbulk, heavy lift, oil tankers and chemical tankers segments.

He has taken on various roles such as operations, chartering, sales, and purchasing. In the last 10 years, his focus has been on claims management, where he manages claims and accounts receivable.

He previously worked at Stolt Tankers in Rotterdam before joining Marcura.

Kenneth holds a Bachelor’s in Internal Business from Copenhagen Business School.

Janani Yagnamurthy

VP of Analytics at PortLog & ClaimsHub

Janani is based in Dubai and is the VP of Analytics at PortLog & ClaimsHub. She enables ship owners, operators, charterers, and traders to optimise turnaround times and port costs through data-driven analytics. By providing insights from charter parties and claims, she enhances customer value, reduces data delays, and creates new data assets through customer workshops.

She holds a Master’s in Financial Management from the University of Central Lancashire, UK, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS), UK. She topped the Middle East in Port and Terminal Management and Dry Cargo Chartering modules of the ICS PQE. She also heads the Understanding Shipping programme within ICS Middle East and serves on ICS’s global membership committee.

Sigrid Teig

Director, Strategic Customer Partnerships

Sigrid joined Marcura Singapore in 2020, where she is responsible for the service and support of regional customers, covering a range of Marcura’s services and platforms.

Before joining Marcura, Sigrid worked as an independent consultant focusing on process improvements in the shipping industry and has previously held several management positions with a major dry bulk operator.

Sigrid holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

She has lived and worked in Singapore since 2009.

Piers Yea

SVP Sales

Piers is an accomplished commercial leader with a distinctive background in guiding commercial, data, and product teams in the maritime sector.

As the current Senior Vice President of Sales at Marcura, he contributes over two decades of expertise to the organisation.

Before joining Marcura in 2018, Piers dedicated over 8 years to Inchcape Shipping Services, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding their ‘Information Services’ business.

His wealth of experience and leadership acumen has consistently positioned him as a valuable asset in driving strategic initiatives and fostering business growth.
